These heavy duty bolts from the SR20DET are constructed of a higher grade material which is 22% stronger than OE. Install with an initial tightening torque of 28 to 33 ft/lb. Final tightening is 60 to 65 degrees clockwise or torque 62 to 84 ft/lb. H/D bolts are marked with a small 'G'.

Compression increases in the SR20DE engine should be obtained with the use of the alternate Euro flat-top pistons and NOT by cutting the cylinder head (OE thicknes = 137mm/5.39 inches). It is very important that the compression ratio be verified prior to final assembly (see 'auto math manual' in literature section). Refer to the Nissan factory service manual for information on piston sizing.
